The new Ghost Rock collection arrives within the month… The wines arrive alongside the new L.A.S. Vino collection, and I suspect this is going to be one of the most exciting shipments we unpack this year. Our relationship with Ghost Rock goes back considerably further than last year's hugely successful collection. This will, in fact, be our third offering, albeit with quite a gap between our first and second. There was a simple reason for that absence. Following our original release, winery pricing increased to a level that I felt became difficult to justify in the UK. However much we admire a producer, I have always believed that quality and value must work together. We therefore stepped away for a period rather than offer wines at prices I wasn't entirely comfortable asking our customers to pay. Last year, we came back and what a return it proved to be. We sold more than 1,200 bottles, with the red wines disappearing extraordinarily quickly. Every red sold out, and in remarkably short order. It was one of those occasions when our own excitement for a collection was emphatically matched by the response from our customers. Thank you… Now comes our third offering - the 2025 collection. and I can say, without hesitation, that Justin and his team have delivered another exceptional set of wines. I sampled each of these wines earlier in the year and purchased the collection directly from those tastings. No press reviews were required, and no buying decisions were made from technical sheets, tasting notes supplied by the winery, or simply on the strength of what we purchased last year. Every wine was selected because of what was in the glass. And once again, the quality is sensational. Perhaps equally telling is what we didn't buy. We chose not to purchase around 50% of the samples the winery kindly sent us. This isn't a case of taking the new vintage wholesale because last year's wines sold so successfully. Each bottle had to convince me all over again. The wines below did exactly that. What struck me when tasting the 2025s was not simply the quality of one or two standout bottles, but the consistency across the wines we selected. Ghost Rock appears increasingly confident in its identity. The wines possess beautiful fruit purity and freshness, there is greater depth, texture and definition. Most excitingly, the differences between the individual vineyards are becoming increasingly clear. Pinot Noir naturally sits at the heart of this release and there is some seriously exciting Pinot coming. The 2025 Estate Pinot Noir draws predominantly from La Filles, Oulton and Bonadale vineyards that also provide the fruit for Ghost Rock's more limited single-site wines, while Supernatural Pinot Noir offers a wonderfully expressive and more unconventional interpretation of Tasmania's Cradle Coast. The most user-friendly Pinot out of them all… These are not merely introductions to the single-vineyard wines that follow. They are superb Pinots in their own right - precisely the sort of bottles that disappear rather too easily and, judging by last year's response, rather quickly from our warehouse too. Then we move to the single vineyards. La Filles returns and it is magnificent. From my tasting earlier this year, the 2025 is a darker, deeper and more brooding expression of the site, with wonderful aromatic intensity and savoury complexity. I loved the 2024; the 2025 gave me every reason to buy La Filles again. But perhaps the most fascinating addition this year is Clairdown. The 2025 Clairdown Pinot Noir is the first single-vineyard release from Ghost Rock's original property, established in 2004. Produced exclusively from clone 777, this is an important new wine for Ghost Rock and one I am particularly excited to taste again when it arrives. It was one of those wines that stopped me in my tracks. The 2024 Climat and 2024 La Filles have now sold out and for the second time. Customers who took advantage of our second, pre-arrival allocation, which forms part of this new shipment, will be receiving their wines very soon. We will be in touch in due course… A small point concerning the 2025s which perhaps provides some useful insight into how I select our wines. I sampled the unreleased 2025 Climat Pinot Noir alongside the new releases earlier this year. The 2024 had excited me enormously (hence returning for a second allocation), but the 2025 simply failed to ignite my inner fire in quite the same way. It is by no means a poor wine (far from it) but when selecting wines for The Vinorium, being good is not always enough. The 2025 Clairdown, on the other hand, absolutely did. It immediately captured my attention and, importantly, made me want to go back for more. For me, it was one of the most exciting wines in the new collection. That is why Clairdown forms part of this shipment and the '25 Climat does not. It is also important to say that this isn't necessarily the final word on the 2025 Climat. Young Pinot Noir can change considerably and sometimes a wine simply needs time to find itself. I will revisit the wine later in the year and judge it again with a completely open mind. Then, we move to the wonderful individual Estate Pinot Meunier, produced from a parcel comprising just seven rows of vines. Tiny in production (an understatement), and utterly delicious. There is something wonderfully infectious about this wine - juicy, bright and immediately pleasurable, but with enough spice, minerality and savoury complexity to make it far more than simply an easy-drinking curiosity. I suspect this one will disappear quickly. The 2025 Riesling is a terrific reminder of just how exciting Tasmania can be for this variety. Ghost Rock's position on the cool, maritime Cradle Coast provides precisely the sort of conditions Riesling adores, and the 2025 captures that beautifully. Purity, energy and freshness are at its core – wonderfully bright and precise, with the sort of natural tension that makes young Riesling so compelling. The additional bottle age is already beginning to fill out the palate, bringing greater breadth and texture without sacrificing that wonderful line of freshness. This is exactly the sort of Riesling I want in my own cellar – delicious now, but with plenty more to come. My full and detailed tasting notes will be published as soon as the wines arrive. As mentioned, I tasted and selected every wine earlier this year, but I want to revisit the entire collection once the shipment is safely in our warehouse before committing my final thoughts to paper. For now, I am more than happy to leave you with the following… I loved these wines when I tasted them. I bought them because they excited me - not because of what Ghost Rock achieved last year, and certainly not because we felt obliged to take the new vintage. We rejected half of what we tasted and bought the wines that made us want to go back to the glass… Arrival & Delivery The wines currently have an ETA into the UK port of 25 September. 2025 Ghost Rock Clairdown Pinot Noir A significant new chapter for Ghost Rock: the inaugural single-vineyard release from Clairdown, the estate’s original vineyard. Clairdown was established in 2004, with this wine coming from a younger parcel planted exclusively to clone 777. The vines occupy a gently north-facing slope within a sheltered section of the property, benefiting from long hours of sunlight while retaining the slow, even ripening conditions so important to fine Pinot Noir. The inaugural 2025 release is immediately expressive. Ripe black cherry and wild strawberry rise from the glass, followed by subtle spice, woodland and earthy complexity. The palate is generous and beautifully composed, with dark cherry and plum carried by fine, velvety tannins and a bright seam of acidity. As the wine develops, the fruit gives way to more savoury characters - spice, forest floor and gently earthy tones - before a long, poised finish. There is richness here, certainly, but not heaviness. Clairdown combines ripe fruit with freshness and beautifully judged structure, making this an impressive first release from a vineyard that has been part of the Ghost Rock story from the very beginning. £35.00 per bottle “The freshness and natural energy that keeps the wine unmistakably Tasmanian.” 
2025 Ghost Rock La Filles Pinot Noir La Filles occupies one of Ghost Rock’s lowest and most sheltered vineyard sites. Planted in 2014, its long, flat north-to-south rows enjoy consistently warm growing conditions and typically produce some of the estate’s earliest ripening Pinot Noir. The vineyard is meticulously hand-tended, with careful leaf removal encouraging both sunlight penetration and airflow through the fruiting zone. The result is fruit of remarkable aromatic intensity and in 2025, a distinctly darker and more brooding expression of Ghost Rock Pinot Noir. Ripe plum, blackberry compote and cracked black pepper dominate the bouquet, gradually revealing dried herbs, spice and earthy, forest-floor complexity. It is deep and seductive aromatically, yet beneath the darker fruit lies the freshness and natural energy that keeps the wine unmistakably Tasmanian. For the 2025 vintage, both clones were harvested together and co-fermented using wild yeast. The wine spent twelve days on skins with twice-daily hand plunging before being pressed at dryness. Following extensive barrel trials, just six barrels were selected for the final wine, two of them new French oak, giving a final new-oak component of approximately 30%. Bottled unfined and unfiltered exactly one year after harvest, this is a wonderfully pure expression of La Filles: dark-fruited, savoury and beautifully textured, with an intriguing combination of intensity and restraint. £35.00 per bottle

2025 Ghost Rock Estate Pinot Noir Ghost Rock’s Estate Pinot Noir draws predominantly from the La Filles, Oulton and Bonadale vineyards - the same sites responsible for the estate’s more limited single-vineyard releases. Eight Pinot Noir clones, encompassing Californian, Dijon, Australian and New Zealand material, bring both breadth and complexity to the final blend. The 2025 is beautifully expressive, opening with dark raspberry, ripe plum and blackberry before revealing layers of sweet baking spice and freshly cracked black pepper. With air, a distinctly savoury side emerge - damp earth and crushed gravel, together with a subtle saline quality that feels entirely at home on Tasmania’s cool Cradle Coast. There is lovely depth to the fruit, but freshness remains at the heart of the wine. Each block and clone was harvested separately at optimum ripeness before undergoing individual wild-yeast fermentation, with twice-daily hand plunging. The wines were pressed at dryness, settled and transferred to French oak, approximately 30% new. 2025 Ghost Rock Estate Pinot Meunier One of Ghost Rock’s most distinctive wines and produced in genuinely tiny quantities. The estate’s Pinot Meunier occupies just seven rows of vines, a diminutive parcel immediately recognisable in the vineyard by the variety’s beautiful silvery foliage. Unsurprisingly, such a small block receives an extraordinary degree of individual attention. The 2025 is pale ruby-red and wonderfully fragrant, with juicy red berries at its core, lifted by bright acidity and a fine mineral line. Layers of spice, dried herbs and gentle savoury notes add considerably more complexity than its effortless drinkability might initially suggest. There is a lovely tension here between delicacy and flavour: fresh, vibrant and immediately appealing, yet with sufficient detail and structure to keep drawing you back to the glass. 2025 Ghost Rock Supernatural Pinot Noir Supernatural represents Ghost Rock at its most uninhibited - a Pinot Noir shaped as much by the wild, cool maritime landscape of Tasmania’s Cradle Coast as it is by the winery. The emphasis is on purity, fragrance and texture rather than winemaking embellishment. Black cherry and fresh raspberry lead the way, joined by generous layers of spice and the lightest seasoning of oak. The aromatics are particularly striking: lifted, energetic and wonderfully expressive, a characteristic that has become something of a hallmark for Supernatural. There is a sense of freedom to this wine. It is less concerned with convention and more with capturing the vibrancy and personality of Tasmanian Pinot Noir - bright fruit, cool-climate freshness, savoury complexity and an almost tactile quality across the palate. Thank you for all your orders… The response to the new L.A.S. Vino collection has been superb, with stocks disappearing remarkably quickly. SBDB Sauvignon Blanc Dynamic Blend 2025 has now completely sold out, while only a dozen or so bottles of CBDB Chenin Blanc Dynamic Blend 2025 remain. Both Chardonnays (Barrels of Metricup and Southern Seas) have sold incredibly well, with more than 65% of our stocks already gone. L.A.S. Vino’s first-ever Pinot Noir has also sold through 50% of our allocation, as has the hugely popular Pirate Blend. A fantastic response - thank you.
