One of Ghost Rock’s most distinctive wines and produced in genuinely tiny quantities. The estate’s Pinot Meunier occupies just seven rows of vines, a diminutive parcel immediately recognisable in the vineyard by the variety’s beautiful silvery foliage. Unsurprisingly, such a small block receives an extraordinary degree of individual attention.
The 2025 is pale ruby-red and wonderfully fragrant, with juicy red berries at its core, lifted by bright acidity and a fine mineral line. Layers of spice, dried herbs and gentle savoury notes add considerably more complexity than its effortless drinkability might initially suggest.
There is a lovely tension here between delicacy and flavour: fresh, vibrant and immediately appealing, yet with sufficient detail and structure to keep drawing you back to the glass. Ghost Rock believes this is their finest Pinot Meunier to date.
We all loved their first introduction however, and being candid, their pricing for order #2 was daft. Whatever the reason, owner Justin, wanted to get his wines back on our shelves, and understood the ‘economical warning.’ As with our introductory offer (December 2020), the entire collection overdelivers on quality and value. In fact, and as time has passed, they are better. The entire collection is creative, delicious, filled with imagination and the single estate Pinots are all a serious proposition – they display nuance, balance, and a connection to Tasmania (Pinot Noir is sensitive to where it’s grown). - In Bond: Exclude UK Duty and VAT, and can either be delivered to a UK bonded warehouse in the UK, or released for international delivery.
- Duty Paid: UK Duty @ £26.78 per 9 litres and VAT @ 20% has been paid.
Wines are only available in whole, unmixed cases unless otherwise stated.
