L.A.S Vino Chenin Blanc Between the Capes 2024

A layered and textural take on Chenin Blanc, this is not your usual single-site expression. Nic sourced fruit from two vineyards and made three separate picks to build complexity, energy, and contrast in the final wine.
The first site—certified organic and biodynamic—was planted in 1992 at the northern tip of Margaret River. Wild, untrellised, and surrounded by native bush, it sits just 2.5km from the ocean with a creek running through the vineyard. Nic harvested here twice, 20 days apart, to capture both brightness and depth.
The second vineyard lies in Wilyabrup, planted in 1980 on granite-rich, red gravelly loam soils just above the Wilyabrup Brook. A cooler, elevated site (80m), it gives beautifully loose, aromatic bunches that bring finesse to the final blend.
Each batch was handpicked, chilled overnight, bunch sorted and gently whole-bunch pressed. Fermented naturally in seasoned French barriques (no malo) and aged for 10 months with fortnightly bâtonnage for texture. Bottled unfined and lightly filtered.

- In Bond: Exclude UK Duty and VAT, and can either be delivered to a UK bonded warehouse in the UK, or released for international delivery.
- Duty Paid: UK Duty @ £26.78 per 9 litres and VAT @ 20% has been paid.
Wines are only available in whole, unmixed cases unless otherwise stated.
