A deep well of inky black fruits, tar, incense and mineral aromas is lifted by the region's resinous and botanical signature, followed by an intensely muscular, deeply concentrated mouthfeel that is among the fullest-bodied wines in the Zuccardi portfolio. The finish continues this sheer power with a raw, brawny conclusion dominated by chewy tannins, yet despite this structure, the wine's overall energy skews toward the buoyancy and lift that track through the top-of-the-range bottlings from Zuccardi. More than any other wine in the Finca portfolio, it will demand patience, but I do not doubt that it will reward it.”

“This vineyard is planted at an altitude of 1360 meters | 4462 feet, at the foot of the Jaboncillo hills, called cerrilladas, in the paraje of Gualtallary that we know as "Monasterio." It is the result of our search for synthesis between the vineyard and the landscape. Surrounded by native vegetation of the area, the vineyard respects the richness of the topography and soil types of this place, where caliche and gravel covered in calcareous material abound, amongst an authentic mountain desert climate. We have divided the vineyard into 30 parcels with different types of soils, aspects and sun exposure, and distinct methods of cultivation. Each lot was vinified separately, to then develop the wine through a blend that best represents the identity of this vineyard. This Finca wine is 100% Malbec with a great sense of place.”
