Stuart McCloskey, tasted 1 May 2026 “It’s remarkable how a touch of barrel fermentation can completely reframe Sauvignon Blanc into something far more sophisticated (and those who dismiss the varietal should take note)… This is a beautifully judged wine that straddles multiple worlds - echoes of the Loire (Pouilly-Fumé), a nod to youthful Bordeaux Blanc, all underpinned by the bright, saline precision synonymous with Margaret River. Pale gold with crystalline brilliance. The nose is immediately captivating - flint and crushed stone interwoven with citrus peel, green apple and subtle tropical notes, all lifted by a gentle waft of white blossom. The palate is taut, chiselled and impeccably controlled. Zesty lemon, grapefruit and layers of tropical fruit glide across a core of steely minerality, with a saline edge bringing both energy and focus. The texture is refined rather than overt, carrying through to a long, precise finish that lingers with citrus oil, wet stone and a whisper of fresh herbs. There’s a sense of intent here - everything feels finely tuned. Nothing overworked, nothing out of place. Just purity of fruit, clarity of expression and impeccable balance. Serve well chilled. Best enjoyed from Zalto Universal stemware (or similar). Seriously delicious – thirst quenching!”
Trophy winner for Best Sauvignon Blanc at the important Royal Queensland Wine Awards 2025
Ray Jordan “Wow, this really zips across the palate. It has crunchy fresh acidity with vibrant, zingy passionfruit and a citrus tang, finishing with a fine, lingering line. This is a savvy, but not a big blousy one. It’s got flavour, intensity, and a linear structure. To me, this is how sauvignon blanc should be made in Margaret River. A cracking good wine.”
