Stuart McCloskey, tasted 29 April 2026 - “A superb vintage across Barossa, the 2019 Holy Trinity reflects this with clarity. This release leans into a more serious, structured style -less about immediate charm (though still very delicious), more about depth, form and quiet authority. It is a wine that unfolds slowly, revealing its layers with time and air. Not one for an ice bath. The nose is darker and more contemplative in tone. Black cherry, mulberry and damson sit at the core, wrapped in notes of dried herbs, cedar, clove, and dried orange peel - all underpinned by a distinct earthy undertow. There is a savoury, almost ferrous edge here, giving the aromatics a sense of grounding and maturity rather than overt fruit lift. On the palate, the wine shows a firmer architecture. Medium to full-bodied, it is driven less by fruit sweetness and more by structure and control. Grenache plays a subtler role, while Shiraz and Mourvèdre shape the wine - bringing dark fruit weight, spice and a taut line of fine tannin. There is a gentle grip throughout, giving the wine a purposeful, composed feel. The finish is long and savoury, with lingering notes of spice, earth and a touch of dark cocoa. A more introspective and classically styled Trinity, built for those who appreciate structure over exuberance. Drink: Now (decant for a few hours) and over the next 6–8 years.”
We are thrilled to offer a collection of cellared treasures direct from the producer including the full ‘Icon’ suite.
Abednego

Meshach
It is no exaggeration to say that there are few people in the world who understand Australian wine better than Andrew Caillard MW who penned, “It is Grant Burge’s Meshach Shiraz that has played no small part in the ascendancy of the Barossa Shiraz vernacular. This wine brings utterly sublime vineyard resources, marketing imagination and accessibility to the fine wine consumer. While it is pricey, it’s also fair. It generally offers a much better bang to your buck than many over-hyped cult type Shirazes. The fruit is sourced from the 100-year-old Filsell vineyard planted on deep alluvial soils near Lyndoch. The vineyard is triaged on optimum ripeness and flavour development. This is often around 14 degrees Baume. The wine is vinified in open headed down fermenters at warm temperatures. Towards dryness, the wine is drained and pressed, completing fermentation in mostly new American oak hogsheads. Meshach is a highly concentrated and generous Barossa style with a ripe, dense palate packed with fruit, pronounced tannins and supported by American oak. Meshach is already highly regarded for its potential lo... Read more Read less
