Stuart McCloskey, tasted 26th February 2026 "The label may look fun however, this is an exceptional and super-delicious wine with all the structure and balance required to cellar confidently for at least 6–8 years. Perhaps it has something to do with 2024 being an outstanding and highly significant vintage for Tasmania - following four consecutive years of low yields, the region delivered fruit of remarkable quality. You’re getting far more than your money’s worth, that’s for sure. As the label suggests, this is a pure, unadulterated Pinot Noir that shines a bright light on the producer, the varietal, the region and the quality of the vintage. A dreamy, heady perfume rises immediately from the first pour - no decanting necessary. Wild strawberry, plum, raspberry, cranberry and pomegranate lead the charge, followed by sweet spice, vermouth botanicals, blood orange, with touches of wild hedgerow and rosehip. With air, a note of cold black tea emerges. Flavours dance across the palate. Fruit, tannins, and acidity stretch out harmoniously, again so pure and true to form. The palate is saturated with juiciness. Granted, it does not possess the depth or complexity of the single-vineyard collection; nevertheless, it is outright delicious. For the money, it cannot be faulted. The flow is seamless and uninterrupted. The flavours are ripe and beautifully mirror the perfume. Serving temperature: Slightly below room temperature is ideal, or even lightly chilled as summer approaches. A true joy to drink. Best served in Zalto Burgundy stemware - smaller glasses simply won’t achieve the same effect."

Justin Arnold, Owner/Winemaker - "So popular. Fresh, juicy, textured. Full of fun. Unadulterated Pinot Noir right here."

Bouquet: Freshly muddled raspberry, black cherry, layers of spice underneath, and a subtle touch of oak. Lifted aromatics continue to be the hallmark of our Supernatural Pinot Noir.

Palate:
A delicate palate with chewy tannins and always present plush fruit spectrum. Vibrant natural acidity keeps the aftertaste lingering.

Vintage: 2024 will be remembered as a vintage of distinction, with fabulous growing conditions that yielded fruit of superb quality. The climate during the spring and summer was notably warmer and dryer than previous years. This pattern had not seen since 2019, which was also a year that made exceptional wines that are still holing up today. The wines from 2024 will be celebrated for having considerable character, intensity, and a great deal of potential.

Winemaking: Fruit was picked based on clonal ripeness. Ferments were encouraged to begin spontaneously by our native yeast population. This slow take off allowed for natural cold soaking to occur. The vats were hand plunged daily until just dry, when they were drained, pressed, and put down to barrel with a 25% new French oak program. The wine was bottled unfined and unfiltered, with minimal sulfites added at bottling.

Viticulture:
100% Estate Grown from our vineyards old and new. Larger portions of this year’s blend were backed from our Iris and Bonadale vineyards. A blend of 9 clones, all picked individually based on ripeness. 35% 777, 25% Mv6, and the remainder made up of 114, 115, 667, D4v2, D5v12, G5v12 and G8v15. Vines were rigorously leaf plucked mid-season for canopy and fruit exposure, resulting in further concentration of flavour.

Ghost Rock

We are so thrilled to welcome back Tassie producer, Ghost Rock.

We all loved their first introduction however, and being candid, their pricing for order #2 was daft. Whatever the reason, owner Justin, wanted to get his wines back on our shelves, and understood the ‘economical warning.’ As with our introductory offer (December 2020), the entire collection overdelivers on quality and value. In fact, and as time has passed, they are better. The entire collection is creative, delicious, filled with imagination and the single estate Pinots are all a serious proposition – they display nuance, balance, and a connection to Tasmania (Pinot Noir is sensitive to where it’s grown). Both fizzes sampled better than mid-level (priced) House of Arras…
