Stuart McCloskey, 20th November 2025 "This is fun and immensely enjoyable. The team and I demolished a bottle before 11:00am… The perfume leaps from the glass with sweet raspberry, strawberry, Kirsch, rose hip, cherry, along with a smidgeon of cranberry – there’s a subtle background of salinity which does add a whiff of complexity. Flavours match the bouquet – the entry is off-dry (a touch of sweetness), and flavours flow through the red-fruited spectrum. The bubbles are thankfully on the ‘finer’ side and the texture is remarkably silken. Clearly, this is much better than the price tag, which is as refreshing as the wine… This is outright juicy and delicious – A light sweetness runs through the finish however, orange zest keeps the palate frisky. I reckon you could pour this all night at a large gathering and your guests would be delighted. Please use Zalto Universal stemware or similar. Recycle your flutes as they are blooming useless for sparkling wine / Champagne.”

Matthew Jukes “One of the most respected sparklers in Australia, Croser was first released in 1985 and is named after the winemaking guru Brian Croser AO. Made in the traditional method and Pinot Noir dominant, this is a brilliant wine with delicious fruit and a lovely, long, dry finish. With a Tesco Clubcard, you can pick this beauty up for £17, meaning it dips in under almost every Champagne and English Sparkling wine, and I would go so far as to say that if you are planning a party, this is the perfect wine to reward your guests without blowing the budget (a recurring theme in this year’s Report). A rosé sibling, NV Croser Sparkling Rosé (£20) ticks all of the boxes, too, with a gorgeous wild strawberry nose and a savoury, tart finish.”

The Vinorium’s View…

We wholeheartedly agree regarding their value however, and after enjoying both wines in the office this week – The Rosé is the hands down winner – no argument. She’s pretty, shapely, moreish, the mousse is creamy, there’s structure and there’s succulence. Bags of flavour too.
